The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in two separate statements that in response to the U.S. attack on five Iranian oil tankers, two American vessels, eight oil tankers, and 10 “offending” ships, it targeted them in the Strait of Hormuz.

The statements said that the 10 ships “with the instigation and support of the invading U.S. terrorist army” had intended to pass through the prohibited and unsafe area of the Strait of Hormuz.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that the aerospace force of the IRGC struck the D-D-G-119 and D-D-G-53 destroyers with ballistic missiles and “inflicted significant damage.”

U.S. Central Command said that the warship of this country repelled the missile attacks and that no American personnel were harmed.
