Shayan Smee’i, a national security expert, referring to the multiple trips by intelligence and security officials and senior U.S. Army commanders to Israel in recent weeks, said that the goal is to bring the Islamic Republic to the stage of “submission,” with economic and military pressure and the elimination of the capabilities of its proxy forces.

He added that the Islamic Republic’s proxy capabilities via Hezbollah and the Houthis are being targeted; by imposing a naval blockade, the United States has placed pressure on the Islamic Republic’s economic capability, and Israel also has “one hundred percent” readiness for military action.

Smee’i emphasized that if the attacks are resumed, Israel this time will be seeking to “finish the job” of the Islamic Republic.
