He wrote that new sanctions against the digital assets infrastructure in Iran show that the attempt to provide financing to the Iranian government through cryptocurrencies is not beyond the reach of the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Treasury.

He warned that the U.S. Treasury Department will sanction individuals who support the Iranian government.
