Qatar’s Ministry of Transport has asked owners of ships and maritime vessels to temporarily suspend navigation and their activities until further notice. The order was issued to preserve public safety and also applies to recreational boats, fishing vessels, and jet skis.

The decision was taken following a missile attack by the Islamic Republic of Iran on Qatar. The country has been one of the main mediators in talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States.

However, Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has announced that at least three people, including a child, were injured and taken to hospital as a result of shrapnel from intercepted missile warheads.
