Mortaza Kazemian, a member of the Iran International editorial team, referring to Donald Trump’s latest remarks about the Iranian people, says that the U.S. president in recent months has, for the first time, spoken more explicitly about the role of the Iranian people in the conflict with the Islamic Republic.

According to Kazemian, the fact that these positions coincide with the intensification of U.S. economic pressures shows that the Trump administration’s attention has, more than before, been directed to Iran’s domestic situation and the reaction of the dissenting public.
