🔻Moejarnzani: We hope there will be no need to reduce the first and second gasoline quotas
The government spokesperson of Iran, at a press conference with reporters, said she hopes that there will be no need for any reduction in the first and second gasoline quotas.
Fatemeh Moejarnzani said: “It was supposed to carry out the gasoline price increase in the winter of last year, but considering the conditions of war, this issue was postponed; otherwise, according to a government decision, this correction was supposed to be implemented seasonally.”
Ms. Moejarnzani said that the revenues resulting from the recent increase in gasoline prices are “entirely spent on living expenses.”
As of early Tuesday, September 17, the third gasoline rate increased from 5,000 tomans to 10,000 tomans.
The 60-liter gasoline quota at 1,500 tomans and the 50-liter gasoline quota at 3,000 tomans have not been changed for now.
Ms. Moejarnzani said: “Certainly, if we want to take any action, I assure you that we will definitely talk with the people before doing so.”
