Mehdi Movahedi-Azad said on the program “Eyestandaz” that U.S. administration officials believe that the maritime blockade and the intensification of sanctions have increased pressure on the Islamic Republic. He added that oil revenues and Tehran’s access to financial resources and the network of sanctions-bypassing have been severely limited, and now this question has arisen as to whether Washington considers continuing this pressure as paving the way for weakening or the collapse of the Islamic Republic’s system or not.
