Masoud Pezeshkian, head of the government of the Islamic Republic, and Ahmadreza Radan, commander-in-chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Law Enforcement Force, inaugurated the first “smart” all-day/night high school of the police; a facility that, according to reports, has been set up with the aim of identifying and training teenagers for the police.

The high school, named “Mohammad Baqeri,” admits male students in the fields of experimental sciences, mathematics-physics, and the humanities. Alongside theoretical lessons, the students will receive skill, sports, and specialized training, including shooting.

According to statements by the command of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Law Enforcement Force, the aim of this program is to train “professional police” and the future personnel and commanders of this unit from the teenage years, and police high schools are also planned to be established in other provinces.

The inauguration of this center took place amid wartime conditions. In his speech at the opening ceremony, Radan said that launching this high school “during times of war” shows that educational and constructive activities have not been halted. He described the approach of these schools as part of the “architecture of the future police,” based on training and skills development for teenagers and young people.
