Kayhan newspaper, which is published under the supervision of the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, wrote in a note: “Apparently, some government managers do not know which visible and invisible hands are behind the promotion of immodesty and nudity; this group must respond that with these orders, how far is the issue of immodesty and the spread of nudity going to continue?”
The newspaper went on: “These people either are not aware of the plot and the realities on the scene, or they do not have a proper understanding of the consequences of passivity in the face of the enemy’s cultural invasion in a combined war—both of which cases are regrettable and bewildering regarding the level of analysis and decision-making by such officials at the highest ranks of governance in the country.”
In conclusion, the note-writer emphasized: “The slightest optimism, carelessness, and delay in carrying out the important duties of the government, the parliament, the judiciary, the law-enforcement officers, and all cultural, security, and educational institutions in the area of hijab is not acceptable under any justification.”
