He said that Jordan’s air defense systems intercepted the 20 ballistic missiles that had been fired toward the country’s territory, adding: “18 of these missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed, and two missiles also fell in areas uninhabited.”

The spokesperson emphasized that, in accordance with operational procedures, the Jordanian army responded to this threat in order to protect the country’s airspace and the security of its citizens.

He noted that the operation of monitoring, follow-up, and assessment is still ongoing and, based on field assessments, no casualties have been reported as a result of the attack.
