Islamic Republic security forces on September 9 opened fire at job-seeking young protesters who were objecting to the hiring process at the Lishter Gachsaran refinery and the Dawabl Khozai Sugarcane Company in Ahvaz. The protesters objected to discrimination and to the way personnel were hired.
