🔶 Iran’s Army: We targeted U.S. military facilities in Kuwait
Iran’s Islamic Republic Army, in a statement, announced that it attacked U.S. military positions located in Kuwait.
In the statement, published by the state news agency IRNA, it is claimed that “in the new round of drone attacks” and “in the seventeenth stage of Operation Sa‘aqqeh,” “a major ammunition depot and equipment and personnel sheds” of the U.S. Army in Kuwait were targeted “for the second time.”
The Army’s statement says that these attacks were carried out “in response to violations of international treaties” and “the enemy’s crimes” in areas “non-military.” The Army also stated in its announcement that during these attacks, U.S. facilities at the Al-‘Adīri camp and the equipment and personnel sheds of the U.S. Army at the Ali al-Salīm base in Kuwait were “again” targeted by drone strikes.
Meanwhile, Kuwait’s army also announced on Sunday that it is “responding to air barrages fired from Iran.”
Kuwait had been hit the day before by a wave of attacks from the Islamic Republic, during which a power plant and an oil facility were targeted.
