Hungary’s foreign minister said the decision to expel 10 members of Russia’s delegation in Hungary has been communicated to the Russian embassy in Budapest.

Antia Orban wrote on the X social network that, based on the assessment of Hungarian officials, these individuals carried out activities that are unacceptable for diplomats under the Vienna Convention.

She added that she has asked the relevant authorities to inform the Russian embassy about the matter and that the persons concerned be asked to leave Hungarian soil.

The Hungarian foreign minister emphasized that the decision protects Hungary’s security and sovereignty and does not mean a break in diplomatic relations with Russia.
