Fatemeh Mohajerani, spokesperson for the Islamic Republic government, claimed on Wednesday that U.S. airstrikes on the south of the country in “recent days” have killed more than 30 noncombatants.

The exact time frame for this figure was not specified. At the same time, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health said that more than 260 people were injured in the overnight attacks.

The public relations office of the Islamic Republic’s Ground Forces also announced that in an attack early this Wednesday morning on one of its bases in Sistan and Baluchestan province, seven personnel—career and conscript—from the 388th I.R. (Iran Shahr) brigade were killed, and a number of others were injured.
