🔶 CENTCOM: We disabled an oil tanker that tried to violate Iran’s sea blockade from moving

The U.S. military targeted an oil tanker while attempting to pass through a maritime blockade of ports in Iran, which was established on the orders of Donald Trump, the President of the United States.

Team Hawkins, a spokesperson for the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), announced on Friday, 2 Mordad (24 July): “After the tanker’s crew attempted at least four times to break the blockade, we disabled the ship.”

According to CENTCOM’s spokesperson, the vessel is no longer heading toward Iran.

CENTCOM also said the ship’s crew was warned several times, but they did not heed the instructions. U.S. forces deployed in the region then disabled the ship by firing at its engine room.

Last week as well, a U.S. fighter jet had fired at an empty cargo tanker of missiles which, according to CENTCOM, was intended to break the maritime blockade.
