🔶Car crash at a night gathering in Mashhad; four dead and more than 10 injured

The state news agency IRNA reported that on the evening of Tuesday, 10 Shahrivar (September 1), a Genesis vehicle on Iqbal Lahori Boulevard in Mashhad, in the area between that boulevard and Vekilabad Boulevard, veered off its path at high speed and collided with a “night-time gathering of people.”

The Khorasan Razavi provincial government announced that four people died and more than 10 were injured in this incident. After the crash, the driver was arrested, and the governor of Khorasan Razavi ordered that the matter be investigated.

Hours later, IRNA, quoting Hassan Hosseini, the governor of Mashhad, wrote: “Based on the investigations carried out, last night’s incident was solely traffic-related and no other cause was involved in its occurrence.”
