🔶 Britain publishes a bill to tighten sanctions against Iran

Britain on Tuesday, September 8 (September 17), published a bill to impose tougher sanctions on Iran, expanding trade restrictions and increasing powers to target ships—an action the British government described as part of a broader effort to curb Iran’s nuclear program and other hostile activities.

According to Reuters, the British government said the measures would limit Iran’s access to the UK financial system, expand trade bans to more goods, technologies and services, and ban Iranian aircraft from landing in Britain, except in cases covered by exemptions.

The Iranian embassy in London did not respond to Reuters’ request for comment on the matter.
