🔺 Bessent in Congress: The U.S. is ending the threat posed by the Islamic Republic

▪ Scott Bessent, U.S. Treasury Secretary, said on Tuesday that the economic power of the United States has enabled it to carry out “the largest campaign of economic isolation in the history of the world” against the Islamic Republic and its backers and facilitators, adding that the administration of President Trump is no longer seeking to “manage” the threat from the Iranian government, but is instead “putting an end” to it.
