🔶 After deadly attacks, Zelensky requested Patriot air defense systems

In attacks by Russia with missiles, drones, and guided bombs on the evening of Saturday, July 11 (20 Tir), eight people were killed in Ukraine and dozens of others were injured.

Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, said on the social media platform X that Russia attacked the country the previous evening with more than 120 drones and 12 missiles. He asked the United States to issue, as soon as possible, the authorization promised for the production of Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine.

Zelensky said: “Non-civilian infrastructure was targeted before the air raid sirens went off.” He also released videos of rescue forces searching for victims among the building debris.

The Ukrainian president added that in Kyiv, the country’s capital, residential buildings, administrative offices, and a theology education institution were damaged.
