🔶 A third heatwave on the way to Germany; temperatures may reach 39 degrees
A new wave of heat is on the way and will soon engulf Germany, and the situation in the second half of July 2026 will change.
The low-pressure system that had affected eastern and northern Germany in recent days is moving toward Eastern Europe. At the same time, the high-pressure system “Azores” will gradually expand into Central Europe.
Adrian Trelli, a meteorologist at Germany’s ZDF television network, says: “After the passage of a storm system from southern Scandinavia toward the Baltic states, the current period of cool and unstable weather comes to an end. Then a stationary high-pressure system will set in, which will cause a significant rise in temperatures.”
A sharp rise in temperatures in a country like Germany, where most buildings are not equipped with cooling systems, creates many problems for citizens and even in many public places air conditioners are rarely seen. At the same time, swimming pools are full of people, and fans and cooling devices have either become scarce or are being sold at prices far higher than usual.
