⚽⚽⚽ A new development in Iranian football; Abolfazl Jalali became a Persepolis player
Persepolis Tehran Club announced that, in one of the most controversial transfers of the summer, it has signed a two-year contract with Abolfazl Jalali, the left-footed defender of Esteghlal.
Jalali, 28, who spent the last four seasons with Esteghlal, has experience playing for Iran’s youth and senior national teams. In the 03-1402 season as well, by recording the most assists, he earned the title of the best assister in the Persian Gulf Pro League.
The transfer has taken place at a time when Esteghlal cannot sign new players in the summer transfer window because it has been banned from activity in the transfer market, due to unpaid demands of several players and a foreign coach.
