An HRANA news outlet of a group of human rights activists in Iran reported on the continued hunger strike of “Craig Foran” and “Lindsey Foran,” a British couple imprisoned in Evin Prison. Ms. Foran has been on a hunger strike for 49 days and Mr. Foran for 58 days, and during this time they have lost 14 and 16 kilograms of weight, respectively. The couple is being denied access to appropriate medical care, the receipt of essential medications, and also has been deprived of the ability to have phone contact with each other and with family members. HRANA also says that essential medications, glasses, books, and hygiene items sent by the British Embassy have not yet been delivered to them, despite approval by the physician of the barracks and the officials of the ward. The couple, who were traveling with a motorbike, were arrested in Kerman in Dey 1403 by the IRGC Intelligence, and in Bahman of last year, a Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced them to 10 years in prison on charges of “espionage.”
