Yesterday in Rome, a protest gathering in support of Taraneh and Romina Rahimi, two 19-year-old Iranian sisters who have been sentenced to death and 25 years in prison, was held.
At this gathering, a number of representatives of the “We the Moderates” Party and other members of the Italian parliament called for an end to executions and torture of political prisoners in Iran.
The main slogan of the rally was “Freedom is not hanged.”
