🔺 Yemen state sources: Houthis have reached the strategic island of Perim in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait

▪ Yemen’s Har ministry source told Reuters that the Houthis, who are supported by the Islamic Republic, arrived on Friday at the strategic island of Perim (Meyoon) in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

▪ Two sources from Yemen’s government, which is supported by Saudi Arabia and recognized internationally, said that government forces have withdrawn from Perim, and that the Houthis have also taken control of the coastal city of Dhuba on the mainland of Yemen, which lies opposite the island.
