🔸 The widespread and recent illegal entry of migrants from Morocco into Ceuta, along with the continued presence of thousands of them in temporary camps, streets, and beaches in this area, has sparked a wave of protests in Spain.

🔸 Thousands of people on Wednesday, 11 Shahrivar 1405, protested in the cities of Cádiz and Madrid against the recent arrival of these migrants and the way the crisis has been managed by Pedro Sánchez’s government.

🔸 Accusing Morocco of facilitating border crossings, the protesters called for stricter border control and for the return or transfer of newly arrived migrants.

🔸 According to reports, between 50,000 and 72,000 people have entered Ceuta from Morocco. Spain’s Ministry of the Interior has said it has arranged the return of 48,300 people, but local officials say that more than 10,000 people are still present in the area.

🔸 As protests continued in Madrid, riot police dispersed a gathering around the Plaza de Cibeles after the throwing of street barriers and attempts by some protesters to block police vehicles.
