A weather expert from the Meteorological Organization said: Heavy rainfall will begin on Monday and Tuesday in the northern coastal areas, and as downpours intensify, an orange warning will be issued for the affected areas. Passengers and mountaineers should exercise caution.

However, starting Tuesday (17 Shahrivar), the coolness in the highlands will turn into cold. There is a high likelihood that the weather warning regarding relatively heavy rains—at least for Monday and Tuesday in the northern coastal areas—will intensify, and the warning level will change from yellow to orange.

On Monday, the intensity of the downpours will be significant in Ardabil Province; therefore, when traveling on mountain roads, including the Hiran Pass, you should drive with much greater caution.
