We talked with Hassan Hashemian about Aoun’s meeting with Trump and the process of Hezbollah’s disarmament. He believes that so far Aoun has pulled ahead of Hezbollah by a two-goal margin; one, Hezbollah and Iran’s insistence on linking Lebanon’s situation to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, and second, their investment in Israel not backing down.
