Valiollah Hayati, deputy for security and public order of Khuzestan provincial administration, said that, according to the announcement by Iraqi officials, as of Saturday morning the borders of Shalamcheh and Chazabeh in Khuzestan Province have been closed until further notice, and no movement of goods or passengers is being carried out through these borders.

Earlier, two security sources told Reuters that Iraq, after the drone attack on the pipeline of Saudi Arabia, closed the Shalamcheh border crossing with Iran as a precaution.

According to these sources, Iraqi forces have simultaneously launched a broad operation to identify and pursue the perpetrators of the attack. So far, Iraqi officials have not released further details about this operation.
