🔶Trump: We will soon attack the Khouh-Keleng facilities in Iran

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, said on Tuesday at a joint press conference with Joseph Aoun, the president of Lebanon, at the White House that the United States would soon target Iran’s “Kouh Keleng” area.

These heavily fortified underground facilities are located about 1.6 kilometers south of the Natanz nuclear site in central Iran. In 2020, Iran declared this complex to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and introduced it as a facility that is intended in the future to be used for assembling centrifuges used in the production of nuclear fuel.

In response to the question of whether he believes Iran transferred nuclear centrifuges to this site, Trump said: “We have no evidence about that.”

He added: “This doesn’t matter unless they also have [nuclear] materials. They don’t... We track the movement of materials; that’s where the core issue lies.”
