🔶 The United States removed stealth F-22 fighter jets from an Israeli base
The U.S. Army on Friday, despite ongoing tensions with Iran, withdrew its advanced stealth F-22 fighter jets from the Uvda airbase in southern Israel. At least 10 of these fighters took off from the base toward the Royal Air Force base at RAF Fairford, to return to the United States.
Images shared on social media show that these jets landed at RAF Fairford airbase in the United Kingdom.
The Uvda base in southern Israel is one of the key operational centers of the Israeli Air Force, and American fighter jets had been stationed there before the recent confrontation with Iran.
The departure of these jets comes as military tensions between Tehran and Washington have risen again.
However, it is still unclear whether this move is part of a reduction in the U.S. military presence in Israel or a planned redeployment of forces after completing a phase of the mission.
The F-22 fighter jet, which is only in the possession of the U.S. Air Force, is considered one of the most advanced air superiority fighters in the world.
The aircraft is designed for high speed, extensive maneuverability, and stealth capability in air-to-air battles.
