🔻The French Football Federation announced that it will not support Gianni Infantino’s candidacy for re-election as FIFA president next year. On Thursday, Philippe Diallo, head of the French Football Federation, said that the federation’s trust in the FIFA president has been lost.

🔹The decision was made unanimously in the executive committee of the French Football Federation.

🔹Diallo said: “The trust that existed in the FIFA president has been lost. The way we intend to run world football no longer matches the way it is being run.”

🔹The French Football Federation is withdrawing its support for Infantino while, according to Diallo, the manner of handling the sale of shares related to the World Cup, as well as concerns regarding the way FIFA is governed, were among the reasons for this decision.

🔹The FIFA presidential election is scheduled to be held on March 18, 2027, in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
