Stolt Tankers said that the chemical tanker Stolt Magnesium was damaged off the coasts of Oman as a result of an explosion of an unknown external device while passing by.

The company added that following the explosion, a fire broke out in the ship’s engine room.

Stolt Tankers also emphasized that all crew members of the Stolt Magnesium are in good health and that everyone has been identified and counted.
