Since the fighting began again in the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. Army has targeted Iran’s southern strip—from Bushehr in the west to Chabahar in the east—in the past six nights.
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) says that in these attacks, using fighter jets, drones, “shahpads,” and missiles launched from aircraft carriers and frigates, it targeted Iran’s military and military-support objectives.
The city of Bushehr and the areas around it in the south-west of Iran have been hit by U.S. attacks almost every night.
Reports about an attack on the port of Kangan have been denied.
In Hormozgan Province, Bandar Abbas, the islands of Qeshm and Kish, the Greater and Lesser Tumbs (Tomb-e Bozorg and Tomb-e Kuchak), and Abu Musa have repeatedly been targeted. In addition, Khorramshahr? No—port cities along the coast of the Sea of Oman, including Bandar-e Khomir, Bandar-e Sirik, and Bandar-e Jask, have also been bombarded repeatedly.
In Sistan and Baluchestan Province, in the east of the Sea of Oman, the ports of Chabahar and Konarak have been targeted. Chabahar’s sea tower was completely destroyed and collapsed after three rounds of U.S. missile attacks on Friday morning.
