🎥 In a television interview, Shima Shahrabi, the editor of IranWire, describes the characteristics of Javad Majabi and says: “ He had an all-encompassing mind, which made him study literature and art in a rigorous way, to learn, and, because of his restless spirit, not to remain in only one branch.”

According to Shima Shahrabi, Javad Majabi’s refined humor was his own, and with his selection of a distinctive style—of which the fedora hat was an inseparable part—he created a special image of himself in the minds of the audience.

Javad Majabi, writer, humorist, poet, critic of the visual arts, and, of course, a journalist, died on 14 Shahrivar at the age of 87 after a period of illness. He was the last resident writer of the Writers’ Quarter (Kuy-e Nivisandegan) in Tehran.
