🔶 Reuters: Traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has fallen to four ships

The number of ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, 24 Shahrivar (15 September) has dropped to four vessels. The day before, seven ships had transited through the waterway.

According to Reuters, this figure is significantly lower than the 10-day average for transit in the Strait of Hormuz, which was 18 ships.

The reduction in traffic through this strategic waterway comes after increased attacks in the region. Before the start of Iran’s war, the Strait of Hormuz was the route for transferring about one-fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas.

According to reports on four ships recorded on Tuesday, 24 Shahrivar, two ships exited the Strait of Hormuz and two ships entered it. There were no supertankers carrying crude oil or tankers carrying liquefied natural gas among them.
