Oman said it evacuated 16 crew members of the Saudi oil tanker Sader after an attack by the Islamic Republic on the vessel.
Based on a statement by the Oman Maritime Security Centre on the X network, a vessel from the Royal Navy of Oman provided logistical support to the 25-member crew of the oil tanker and evacuated 16 people, providing the necessary medical care.
The Oman Maritime Security Centre added that two crew members were killed when a projectile hit the tanker.
Sader is one of two giant tankers carrying Saudi oil, which was targeted last week as it transited the Strait of Hormuz.
Saudi Arabia said on Wednesday that the attack on the vessel, which belongs to the Bahri National Shipping Company, killed two Filipino seafarers.
