Moulana Abdolhamid, the Sunni Friday prayer leader from Zahedan, said in the Friday prayer sermons of the second of Mordad 1405 that the survival of any government depends on expanding justice, observing fairness, ensuring legal freedoms, building a dynamic economy, and winning the people’s satisfaction. He said: “If the people are dissatisfied, then God is also dissatisfied,” adding that no government would remain stable without the people’s support and approval.

He, while criticizing the increase in executions in the country, said: “With discrimination and injustice, and by taking away freedom of expression and the pen, imprisoning politicians, and executing protesters, one cannot govern.” He emphasized that the increase in executions harms religion and also brings domestic and international consequences for the country.

Moulana Abdolhamid also said: “The Almighty God will also be displeased with these executions, because under divine and Sharia laws, such executions do not exist. In the blessed life of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and Hazrat Ali (AS) as well, there were no such executions.” In the end, he called for an end to executions, the expansion of justice, and addressing people’s demands.
