🔸 Laleh Marzbān, an actress in the film «Watcher» directed by Mohsen Qarāei, received the Best Actress award in the «Horizons» section at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on the night of Saturday, 21 Shahrivar.

🔸 «Watcher», a co-production of Iran, the United States, and Germany, was screened in the competitive «Horizons» section of the Venice Festival. Farhad Aslani, Reyma Raminfar and Leena Khazbān also star in the film.

🔸 The film was made in Iran without mandatory veiling for female actors. Mohsen Qarāei had previously said that he himself and members of his family have faced death threats and that he would face prison if he were to return to Iran.

🔸 The awards ceremony and closing event for the 83rd Venice Festival are being held on Saturday night. This edition of the festival, which began on September 2, will end tonight.
