Ismail Baghai, the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman agreement to determine a safe route for traffic through the Strait of Hormuz in the coming days will be registered with the International Maritime Organization.
Baghai attributed the insecure situation in the Strait of Hormuz to the United States’ actions and expressed hope that some parties will not prevent the implementation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman agreement.
He also referred to Qatar’s diplomatic efforts and said that a delegation from that country was in Iran on Sunday and continued its diplomatic efforts.
Baghai said: “We will certainly use the opportunity of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s presence at the United Nations General Assembly to explain the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, provided that the host country fulfills its commitments and issues the entry visas in a timely manner.”
The foreign ministry spokesperson said: “The enemy’s breach of commitment should not cause us to question our own achievements.”
