🔸 Iran Freedom Congress: No to the Islamic Republic and no to war—both are inseparable aspects of the struggle
With tensions escalating and the continuation of U.S. attacks on Iran, the Iran Freedom Congress, in a statement, condemned the continuation of the war and any foreign military intervention in determining the fate of the people, and said: “No to the Islamic Republic and no to war—these are two inseparable faces of the struggle for a free and democratic future in Iran.”
In the statement of the Iran Freedom Congress, which describes itself as a civil, political, independent, and secular institution, it said: “The ongoing war, which has led to the deaths and injuries of many of our fellow countrymen and has targeted the country’s infrastructure and resources as national assets and the legacy of future generations, once again places the Iranian people before a false dilemma: the idea that in order to oppose one power, one must inevitably stand alongside another power.”
The Iran Freedom Congress said it “firmly” rejects this dilemma and added: “We emphasize an independent path grounded in freedom, democracy, independence, justice, human rights, and the agency of Iranian citizens.”
