Donald Trump, the U.S. president, reshared the results of a poll on Truth Social, according to which the majority of American voters support the end-of-war agreement with the Islamic Republic.

Based on this poll, published by the Big Data Institute on June 29, 60.4% of registered voters and 62.2% of likely voters backed the agreement. 23.7% of registered voters and 24.1% of likely voters were opposed.

The institute also reported that Mr. Trump’s popularity increased by eight points in June.

The wording of the survey question said the agreement would reopen the Strait of Hormuz without collecting tolls, begin a 60-day negotiation period on the nuclear program and lift sanctions, and stated that the Islamic Republic “will not obtain or produce nuclear weapons.”

On July 8 and after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked three commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, Mr. Trump, on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, said the ceasefire “is over” and that he does not want to engage with the Islamic Republic.
