Donald Trump, the president of the United States, told Axios on Thursday that he is considering the resumption of large-scale operations against the Islamic Republic.

He said: “I am looking at a major attack; bigger than any time before. I’m close to making a decision. Everything is ready for it.”

Regarding the possibility of Israel’s involvement, Trump said: “If I ask them, they’ll be in action within two minutes. To launch a new operation against Iran, we don’t need anyone.”

The U.S. president also said that Israel’s joining these attacks would have “consequences.”

Trump said that the leaders in Tehran want to negotiate, but that they are not ready for an agreement for now: “They haven’t suffered enough yet.”
