🔻Donald Trump, president of the United States, on Tuesday night in a message on a social network, rejected an ABC News report claiming that his administration is trying to pressure Iran into negotiations, and said he does not care about reaching an agreement with Tehran.

Mr. Trump wrote: “Contrary to what ABC, (in his view) false news, has reported, I am not trying to bring Iran to the negotiating table. I don’t care at all that they sign some worthless agreement, in their own view.”

He added: “I greatly prefer the current situation, where we have almost complete control of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s economy is completely collapsing. They are only delaying an inevitable process.”

At the end of the message, the U.S. president wrote: “When will the people of Iran rise up and fight?”
