🔻Cristiano Ronaldo called for the professional Saudi Arabian league to permanently ban fans who, during Saturday’s match, harassed him with chants about Diogo Jota, a friend and late teammate of Rubén Neves.

🔹Jota died in a car accident in Spain in July 2025, at the age of 28. His 25-year-old brother, André Silva, also died in the accident.

🔹A video released from the stands of Al-Taawoun Stadium shows Neves, a player for Al Hilal, getting ready to take a free kick; while a number of fans chant “Jota, Jota, Jota.”

🔹After the incident, Neves gestured to the fans with a mocking expression, then pointed a few times to the sky and to his eyes. After the match, in a brief response to reporters, he said: “I just hope they don’t go for prayer after what they did.”
