Hossein Marashi, Secretary-General of the Executives of Construction Party, said in an interview with Eqo Iran that Beijing has conveyed its “very clear” preconditions to Tehran.

He quoted that message as follows: “You open the Strait of Hormuz, you don’t collect tariffs, and you resolve your issues with Saudi Arabia and the United States; then Qalibaf can come to China.”

Based on what Marashi said, the visit by the Speaker will take place only after those conditions are met.

In this regard, the office of the Special Representative of the Islamic Republic in China announced that the claim that Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf’s trip to Beijing and the expansion of relations between the two countries are conditional on the fulfillment of certain requirements by Tehran is “unfounded.”

Qalibaf is the Special Representative of the Islamic Republic in China and, since his appointment, has not carried out his trip to Beijing.
