Channel 14 Israel claimed that Alí Al-Zaydi, the prime minister of Iraq, is trying to reopen the Strait of Hormuz at the same time as pressures from Donald Trump, the U.S. president, and the network of proxy groups of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Iraq.
The outlet also claimed that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz so far has caused losses to Iraq of more than $50 billion.
Channel 14 Israel media also reported that Alí Al-Zaydi, who has been put forward for a ceasefire between the United States and the Islamic Republic, has conveyed it to Tehran.
