At 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time today, U.S. Central Command forces began carrying out another round of attacks against Iran in order to weaken Iranian capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

These attacks are taking place as U.S. forces prepare to resume a naval blockade against Iranian ports and coastal areas. The blockade begins at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
