〰 CENTCOM: This afternoon at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, U.S. Central Command forces began additional attacks against Iran to continue weakening their ability to attack noncombatant seafarers and commercial vessels that freely pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

The commander in chief ordered these attacks to hold Iranian forces accountable.
