🔶 CENTCOM announces the end of the latest round of U.S. attacks on Iran
The U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, said in a statement that it brought another round of attacks against Iran to an end at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, 30 Tir (Iranian time). According to the statement, during the tenth consecutive night of attacks, U.S. forces targeted “command-and-control centers, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defense systems” in Iran.
According to CENTCOM, the purpose of these attacks was to weaken the Islamic Republic’s ability to continue attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
In the statement, referencing the continued passage of ships through this waterway, it said that from early May until now, CENTCOM forces have helped facilitate the transit of about 900 commercial ships and the transfer of 450 million barrels of crude oil.
