Azerbaijan is currently jointly producing sea-based unmanned vessels within the country.

President Aliyev visited a production line that is operated by Azerbaijan’s MIRAS company and the Turkey-based Dearsan shipbuilding workshop. During the visit, he examined two samples of these vessels.

The two samples include the armed unmanned vessel SALVO (15 meters long, equipped with missiles and a gun, and with a recovery capability) as well as the suicide drone KAYRA (7.6 meters long, speed of more than 60 knots at sea, and with the ability to hit a target using a warhead).

Both of these vessels are designed to defend the Caspian Sea coasts and protect energy infrastructure.
